Syzygium aromaticum – from dried flower buds
Organic 100% essential oil – 12ml
Clove is a potent oil and should be used sparingly. It has a very characteristic strong, sweet and spicy, aroma. Historically, it has been used as an antioxidant and antibacterial ingredient in oral hygiene and also for its analgesic properties.
CAUTION: clove oil can cause irritation and allergic reactions on the skin if not properly diluted. (.05% -1% or less in vegetable oil).
HOW TO USE
I like to use clove bud oil in a diffuser or as a room spray. Do not use more than 2 drops of clove bud essential oil for every 20ml of carrier oil or water. It can be overpowering. I like to blend it with mandarin and frankincense in a diffuser or room spray to get that festive Christmas aroma. It can also be a good insect repellent. I make it as a room spray to keep ants outside the house!
